From now on I am now going to request a deposit for chipmunks that have been reserved due to people cancelling their reservations. I work very hard to insure that I keep track of reservations and keep my end of the bargain. I will be setting up paypal for this .... thanks for understanding.

Bummer

Two babies died... from what I can tell it looks like they couldn't get milk... their little tumm tumms were empty :0(

Fingers crossed that my other female chippy is going to have a litter in a couple of weeks... fingers crossed!

BABIES!!!!

Six beautiful babies were born yesterday morning... looks like at least 4 boys and 2 girls... but still really hard to tell when they are so young... the colours are not visible yet... but should be in a couple of days... I will take pics today if I can sneak some :0)

One of my chipmunks is going to have babies in about two weeks time...and I just put my other female in w/ the male yesterday.... so she should be having babies in about a month.... yippee!!

My chipmunks were busy yesterday morning.... having a "special cuddle" time... so babies will probably be on the way in a month... I will keep you all posted.

All the babies have homes now

Hi.... all my babies have new homes now...but keep checking back for updates on new litters. I expect to have two litters in the spring... but you never know what Mother Nature has up her sleeve. So keep an eye on this blog.

Three new babies

Hi everyone... I have three new babies... two agouti females and one dilute male. They will be ready in about 6 weeks from now... so if you are interested please let me know ASAP. They are still only £40 each... both of the girls can be sold together ...but the male can only go on his own.

Meet Binty

Binty belongs to Emily who got Binty for her birthday this year. Emily sent me these pictures of Binty in her new home. I think she looks really happy and her cage set up is wonderful. I love the pic of her in her hammock. I think I may get a couple them them for my chipmunks. Binty was the last baby chipmunk to go to her new home this year... I miss her but she couldn't have gotten a better mum than Emily. Thanks Emily for sending me these pics, they are fab.

ps... Binty is the baby chipmunk in the post below...she was the one her dad would always kidnap... she has always been special.

running around with babies

Sometimes the mum and chipmunks will take their new babies in their mouth and run around the cage with them... all of mine have. I don't know why they do it and it does look brutal. I have only had one baby get a slight injury from this...but it was a bit of a different situation. The dad chipmunk wanted a baby of his own... and would kidnap one certain little female baby time after time and hid her in a sock I had hanging in the cage. Somehow he gave her a little cut on her back... but it healed up with no problem. I remedied the problem by taking the sock out of their cage... and of course I would have to rescue her and put her back w/ mum... normally if your chipmunk parents run around w/ the babies just leave them alone... they put them back.
